The Bauer X YTH Hockey Shin Guards are an affordable option for the youngster looking to try out hockey for the first time. The Bauer X shin guard has a hard, plastic shell to protect the shin and knee from impacts taken from pucks, sticks, and falling. More foam surrounds the leg to increase protection to the thigh, knee, shin, and calf. Bauer has also implemented an easy strapping design to help reduce time in the locker room while making sure to keep the leg firmly locked in place.
Shin Protection
The shin cap is fully injected with texturized details offering great protection and a sweet look.
Knee Cap & Protection
The knee cap is equipped with the new ErgoDynamic Lab knee. This provides a deeper fit into the shin pad for full coverage protection. The knee wing, aka the side of the knee, is covered by a multi-density foam to cover any openings when bending during a stride.
The Bauer X also offers a multi-density foam thigh protector along the top of the knee cap for added protection when bending your knee.
Calf Protection
The calf features a full coverage multi-density foam to protect the entire leg.
Liner
The Sublimated Hydrophobic mesh liner wicks away moisture, keeps the shin pad dry, and is very lightweight. The integrated liner is molded that provides an instant lock-in feel.
Strapping
The Bauer X is equipped with a quick and easy to use dual anchor strapping system. This keeps the leg firmly locked in place.
